However, her engagement ended soon thereafter, and Crow began to focus more on her music. Her initial efforts were made with advertising jingles, and two of her writings were for national campaigns for Toyota and McDonald’s. She made quite a bit of money for this work, and decided at that point to move to Los Angeles in 1986 to pursue her musical dreams full-time.


Musical Career


Crow initially made her way as a backup singer for the likes of Michael Jackson and Don Henley, and she was eventually noticed by record executives. She signed a recording contract with A&M Records, but was disappointed with her first cut which was never released.
